ROCKET MOTOR'S CONTRUCTIONS

ROCKET MOTOR RMG-2

Since February, 15th, 2004 tests of the engine of new design RMG-2 are spent. The sketch and appearance of the engine is shown in figures below. The case is executed from six layers of a drawing paper with silicate office glue. As etalon the finger-type battery in external diameter of 14 mm was used, bottom and nozzle are executed from epoxy-glue, and in some samples with this purpose glue "POXIPOL" has been used. For nozzle protection the metal washer with an aperture in diameter of 4 mm is used. As a washer it is possible to use a coin it is necessary to grind off slightly only its file to reduce external diameter. As fuel it is used sugar propellant (65 - potassium nitrate, 35 - sugar). One bench test of the engine and two fly is at the moment lead. Experience has shown, that for the best fastening of nozzle and bottom from epoxy-glue it is necessary to do in a wall of the engine through apertures in which glue gets at assebly.
